Leaders Guides

The following is a Leaders Guide for using Mojo with your team. We recommend using Mojo on a regular basis to enhance team meetings and 1 on 1’s. This will make ongoing team building, coaching and mentoring easy and effective.

Team Meetings: The Motivational Intelligence Builder Series

We recommend completing the Motivational Intelligence Builder Series as a team 1-2 times per year. The reason for the redundancy is a concept called spaced repetition — each time you complete the program, your team will pick up new concepts and ideas based on who they are, what they’re working on and where they want to go at that moment in time. Below are meeting agendas for running each of the 11 builders in this series.

Facilitation Options:

Leader Facilitates: The leader can continue leading these meetings by choosing the topics each week, and facilitating the discussion.

Team Facilitates: Alternatively, the leaders can assign a member of the team to choose the topic and facilitate the discussion. This is often done on a rotating basis (Mary you’re in charge this week, Frank you’re next week, etc.)

Meeting Agendas:

For the topic you choose, simply ask everyone to listen prior to the meeting. To facilitate the conversation, ask 3 questions of the group (best if everyone shares):

  • What were your golden nuggets or takeaways from this session?
  • How does this apply to what we do as a team?
  • How does this apply to your individual roles or lives?

Ongoing Coaching + Mentoring

In a similar format, you can provide ongoing 1 on 1 coaching + mentoring to your team members. Simply recommend a Mojo session to an individual, then get together with them to discuss.

For example, you may have one employee that you want to reinforce accountability with — so you’ll have them listen to “Thinking Abundantly”, then discuss their takeaways in a 1 on 1. You may have another employee that you want to reinforce adaptability with — so you’ll have them listen to “Beliefs and Traits”, then discuss the takeaways in a 1 on 1.
